WOMEN AND GOTHIC
A one-day conference at Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge

Part of “Women and Words” at Lucy Cavendish College, this conference will explore women’s relationship with the gothic. We invite papers on any aspect of the subject (themes could include women writers of gothic; female gothic readership; gothic representations of women in literature/film; the gothicization of womanhood; gothic style).
Proposals for 20-minute papers should be sent to Dr. Maria Purves (mariapurves@hotmail.com) by 5th September 2009.
Cost: £30 waged and £20 unwaged (including lunch).
