{"id":1172,"date":"2016-05-03T01:19:14","date_gmt":"2016-05-03T01:19:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bars.ac.uk\/blog\/?p=1172"},"modified":"2016-05-03T01:19:56","modified_gmt":"2016-05-03T01:19:56","slug":"scottish-romanticism-research-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bars.ac.uk\/blog\/?p=1172","title":{"rendered":"New BARS\/UCSL Funding: Scottish Romanticism Research Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ucsl-scotland.com\/news\/romanticism\/\" target=\"_blank\">BARS is very happy to announce a new research award in collaboration with the Universities Committee for Scottish Literature<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>Postgraduates and postdoctoral scholars working in any area of Scottish literature (1740-1830) are invited to apply for the jointly funded BARS-UCSL Scottish Romanticism Research Award.\u00a0 The executive committees of the British Association for Romantic Studies (BARS) and the Universities Committee for Scottish Literature (UCSL) have established the award to help fund expenses incurred through travel to Scottish libraries and archives, including universities other than the<br \/>\napplicant\u2019s own, up to a maximum of \u00a3300.\u00a0 A postgraduate may be a current or recent Master\u2019s student (within two years of graduation) or a PhD candidate; a postdoctoral scholar is defined as someone who holds a PhD but does not hold a permanent academic post.\u00a0 If appropriate, UCSL will endeavour to assign the awardee an academic liaison at one of its partner universities.
