{"id":1973,"date":"2018-02-14T13:32:41","date_gmt":"2018-02-14T13:32:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bars.ac.uk\/blog\/?p=1973"},"modified":"2018-02-14T13:32:41","modified_gmt":"2018-02-14T13:32:41","slug":"research-fellowship-opportunity-the-armstrong-browning-library","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bars.ac.uk\/blog\/?p=1973","title":{"rendered":"Research Fellowship Opportunity: The Armstrong Browning Library"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>An opportunity for those researching nineteenth-century literature and history, via\u00a0Holly Spofford:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Armstrong Browning Library (ABL), located on the campus of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/\">Baylor University<\/a>, is a world-renowned research center and rare-collections library devoted to nineteenth-century studies.<\/p>\n<p>The ABL has established a Three-Month Research Fellowship for leading scholars from outside Baylor. Prof. Dino Felluga (English, Purdue University) served as the inaugural fellow during fall 2017, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/browninglibrary\/news.php?action=story&amp;story=194344\">Prof. Clare Simmons<\/a> (English, Ohio State University) will serve as the fall 2018 fellow.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/browninglibrary\/index.php?id=942662\">Applications<\/a><strong> are being accepted for fall 2019, and are due by Sept. 7, 2018.<\/strong>\u00a0$28,000 will be transferred directly to the Fellow&#8217;s home institution in three equal installments to help cover expenses incurred by this Research Fellowship. In addition, the Fellow&#8217;s initial travel to, and final return journey from, Baylor will be covered, as will lodging in well-furnished, high-quality apartments.
