The morning sessions are an opportunity to hear different perspectives on REF 2021 followed by a Q&amp;A, the aim being to demystify the decision-making process and expectations for early-career scholars, particularly in relation to the job market.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>The REF: What You Need to Know \u2013 Ann Heilmann (Cardiff University)<\/li>\n<li>The REF from an ECR Perspective \u2013 Charlotte Mathieson (University of Surrey)<\/li>\n<li>Thinking about Impact \u2013 Julia Thomas (Cardiff University)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>The afternoon workshop sessions \u2013 \u2018REF Submissions: How Are They Assessed?\u2019 and \u2018Thinking Through Your Own Submission\u2019 \u2013 will provide participants with the chance to discuss the practicalities of the REF and apply this to their own research activities.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Some preparation before the training day will be required so that attendees can make the most of the afternoon activities.
