Join us at\u00a0<strong>Rydal Hall<\/strong>\u00a0in the heart of the Lake District,\u00a0<strong>14\u201319 February 2022<\/strong>, for a week of lectures and seminars exploring the theme of\u00a0<strong>\u2018Wordsworth and Storytelling\u2019<\/strong>. As always, there will be cakes, challenging minds, congenial company . . . and the incomparable landscape.<br><br>We will investigate how the poet told stories of himself and of historical and imaginary characters through the lenses of literary style, history, biography, and influence. Texts to be studied encompass\u00a0<em>Lyrical Ballads<\/em>,<em>\u00a0Peter Bell<\/em>,<em>\u00a0The Excursion<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The White Doe of Rylstone<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The Prelude<\/em>, and more.<br><br>The celebrated poet\u00a0<strong>Sean O\u2019Brien<\/strong>\u00a0will be giving a reading of his poems in response to Wordsworth\u2019s stories.<br><br>Registration will open in the autumn on the Winter School&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wordsworthconferences.org.uk\/winter-school\/\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Wordsworth Winter School is coming back!
