This commemorates two bicentenaries: the death of Percy Bysshe Shelley on 8th June 1822 and the composition of&nbsp;<em>Adonais<\/em>, Shelley\u2019s elegy for John Keats, a year earlier in 1821.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information on how to enter, .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ESSAY PRIZE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Essays may be on any aspect of the writing and\/or lives of the Romantics and their circles. Word count 3000 words.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prize Judges<\/strong>: Professor Sharon Ruston and Professor Simon Bainbridge.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Entry for essayists is free.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>POETRY PRIZE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Poets are asked to write on 2022\u2019s Keats-Shelley Poetry&nbsp;Prize Theme of \u2018ELEGY\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Poets can interpret \u2018Elegy\u2019 freely. Poems can be serious or comic, avant garde or traditional.
