The Oxford English Dictionary defines the term \u2018boundary\u2019 as: \u2018That which serves to indicate the bounds or limits of anything whether material or immaterial; also the limit itself.\u2019 With this in mind, the \u2018Romantic Boundaries\u2019 conference will unite early-career and postgraduate researchers whose work considers the concept and representations of boundaries \u2013 both tangible and intangible \u2013 from as wide a range of critical perspectives as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Topics of interest may include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Geographical and spatial boundaries; transnationalism<\/li><li>Temporal boundaries<\/li><li>Dialogues between genres and disciplines<\/li><li>Lived boundaries (including those pertaining to identity, such as gender, race, or sexuality)<\/li><li>Digital boundaries<\/li><li>Boundaries and reception; public versus private writings<\/li><li>Past, present, and future limits of the field of Romantic studies and its canon<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please send 150-word abstracts for 15-minute papers to <a href=\"mailto:bars.postgrads@gmail.com\">bars.postgrads@gmail.com<\/a> by <strong>Monday 12<sup>th<\/sup> December 2022<\/strong>, including a 100-word biography.
