The Digital Events Officer\u2019s primary responsibility is to be the lead organiser for a regular series of digital events, which can include panels and roundtables solicited via calls issued to the BARS membership as well as collaborations with partners and directly programmed events.&nbsp; BARS Digital Events seek to include a diverse range of voices; all line-ups must feature at least one postgraduate or early career scholar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BARS Digital Events Officer is expected to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Chair the BARS Digital Events Committee.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Work actively with the BARS Communications Team.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Propose, arrange and approve a programme of digital events each year.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Approach and invite speakers (usually via Calls for Papers).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Agree the formats of events with presenters.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Create publicity materials and co-ordinate bookings.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Arrange the technical aspects of running events (most commonly via Zoom) and upload recordings to the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fchannel%2FUCp7k4sukGOMTY4-oW5yGkCQ&amp;data=05%7C02%7CAmy.Wilcockson%40glasgow.ac.uk%7Ca8e3d088488348154a8008dce9511f51%7C6e725c29763a4f5081f22e254f0133c8%7C1%7C0%7C638641781913394457%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=2mZjaXrBau4ywphPP%2FYeLu83reL5PyHWiBE9vGbhLQI%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\">BARS Digital Events YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Evaluate the success of events and modify subsequent programming accordingly.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Contribute to BARS&#8217;
