We are thrilled to announce that the recipient of the second BARS Open Fellowship is Dr Christina Morin. Christina\u2019s project is titled \u2018Irish Gothic in the Global Nineteenth Century\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Christina Morin<\/a> is Professor in English and Assistant Dean of Research for the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Limerick. She is the author of\u00a0The Gothic Novel in Ireland, c. 1760-1829<\/em>\u00a0(2018) and\u00a0Charles Robert Maturin and the Haunting of Irish Romantic Fiction<\/em>\u00a0(2011), and co-editor of the collections\u00a0Traveling Irishness in the Long Nineteenth Century<\/em>\u00a0(with Margu\u00e9rite Corporaal, 2017) and\u00a0Irish Gothics: Genres, Forms, Modes and Traditions<\/em>\u00a0(with Niall Gillespie, 2014). Recent publications include a special issue of the\u00a0Irish University Review<\/em>\u00a0on \u2018Irish Gothic Studies Today\u2019 (2023; co-edited with Ellen Scheible) and\u00a0Irish Gothic: An Edinburgh Companion<\/em>\u00a0(2023; co-edited with Jarlath Killeen). Tina is Chair of the International Association of Irish Literatures (IASIL) and co-editor of\u00a0Eighteenth-Century Ireland<\/em>.
