Our theme this year is \u201cRomantic Ballads and Romantic Songs,\u201d and we especially look for proposals that fit the theme, but any Romantics-related topic will be considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will accept proposals on a rolling basis until&nbsp;<strong>December 1<\/strong>, or until our schedule is filled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This&nbsp;year there are 3 bursaries of \u00a3300 available to postgraduates and early career post docs, on presentation of a single academic reference to support their paper presentation.&nbsp;More information on the website:&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wordsworthconferences.org.uk\/winter-conference-2026\/\">https:\/\/www.wordsworthconferences.org.uk\/winter-conference-2026\/<\/a>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keynote speakers include Katie Garner on \u2018The Mermaid in Romantic Ballad and Song\u2019, Jon Quayle on John Clare, and Laura Mandell on \u201cResurrecting the Romantic Circle\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Lyrical Ballads.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will also have a musical evening in the Grasmere Town Hall, with a presentation performance by Caroline O\u2019Shea and Flor \u00d3 Riain<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Accommodation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants should make their own lodging arrangements.
