BARS is delighted to announce the result of the appointment for BARS Review Editor, confirmed for a term to last until summer 2028.
We are thrilled that Irene Valenti has been appointed to the role, following a rigorous application process. Many thanks to all the excellent candidates who applied.
Irene is a PhD candidate and research assistant at the University of Augsburg, where she also works as editorial assistant for Anglia – Journal of English Philology. Her dissertation explores theories of the sublime from a new materialist perspective, engaging specifically with the daemonic in Romantic poetry. Her research interests include gender and queer studies and contemporary (body-)horror narratives.
We would like to extend our thanks to Dr Caroline Anjali Ritchie for her service to BARS as Review Editor for the past two years and for her contributions to the wider Executive.
